The dates for the Euro's are the 24th to 28th July. (confirmed) I can't spell the name of the venue. But I'm sure one of our Dutch friends will enlighten us shortly..........
Goodday to you all! Yesterday we have had our annual meeting where we have decided on several events, which will appear on our website http://www.javelin.nl shortly.
We are working on some of the details that will make the coming Eurocup something to be remembered You will hear from us soon....
The event will be in the traditional pleasant atmosphere, with enough to do for the families that are coming along. Of course there will be some food and drink involved, no worries there
Camping is low cost and at the club, so no need for special arrangements or bookings before you enter your subscribtion.
So, mark the dates, and come along. If there'a boat needed, we can work something out, just give us a shout.
UK-entries start rolling in, very pleased about that!
I get a little puzzled looking at the sailnumbers. To my knowledge, 572 was the newest Javelin, and now suddenly Chris Davies enters the Euros with 574! Has Jeff started a production line, with Javelins rolling out of the 'factory' by the dozen? Sounds as a good idea for the class as a whole :8
573 is two weeks fresh from the mould and outside my back door waiting for the first hole to be drilled and lovely shiny Milanes and Hydes to go on. Shake down the tail end of this season and hope to join the gang somewhere next year. Geoff. p.s. 522 is still solid and looking for a new home.
Mr Pickles can't make it I'm afraid - We can take only so many days holiday and this year we have the opportunity to be stewards at the Ryder Cup in September and so a decision (made in Dec 09) had to made. A great shame as myself and Richard are really enjoying sailing this year and pretty much on the pace.
However Richard will be there in the front of 572 so 50% of the Pickles/Fisher team will be there.
